Ginger got a start to her online business by selling on eBay in September 2002. She auctioned off some Looney Tunes kitchen decor after she had redecorated her kitchen. After selling the items for as at least as much as she had originally paid for the stuff, she was instantly hooked. Ginger's business has evolved a lot since those early days. She has expanded her business beyond eBay to her own websites and to other auction venues. While she still occassionally sells some things that her family outgrows, her core business now involves selling brand new merchandise. "Selling the same products over and over is so much easier than selling unique items," Ginger said. "Once you have your photographs and descriptions for your items, you can reuse them. Also, you can list the same item on many different sites at the same time."

Ginger is currently taking a break from selling online but
plans to relaunch her websites this summer. Ginger said,
"With so much going on in real life, I decided it was time to take a
break from selling for awhile. With another upcoming move to a new
house and a baby on the way, in addition to redesigning my websites, it
was the right decision. I also wanted to focus on Ecommerce Arena for awhile." |

Ginger is working with the Ecommerce Arena team to add additional features to the site. In addition to the forum and the directory, some of the things that are being planned include tutorials, ecommerce articles, a glossary, and resource pages. You will also see many articles highlighting and promoting the business owners who volunteer their time to Ecommerce Arena.
